Not Ready to Cut? Try These Hairstyle Ideas for Damaged Hair

The fastest way to get rid of hair damage is a big chop, however if you are not ready to take that step you have options. Use these hairstyle ideas if you hair is damaged for a blended natural look and trim off the damage at pace that you are comfortable with.

Roller Sets

Roller sets are great at concealing heat damage and split ends. Use perm rods or silicone rollers along with a product that has hold for a beautiful healthy looking style. If you normally like to do twist outs or braid outs, adding rollers to the ends of your hair gives your hair uniform appearance.

Bantu Knots

Bantu Knots

Bantu Knots have the same affect as rollers, they twirl and curl up your ends exceptionally well, so even if you have heat damage that has permanently straightened your hair, you will not be able to tell. Bantu knots can be used in combination with braiding or two strand twisting your hair or by themselves.

Two Strand Flat Twists

Being that your ends are tucked away in this style damage is easy to hide. Two strand flat twists will also help you to hold onto more hair growth because your hair will not have to go through as much manipulation.

Cornrow Styles

Go with medium to large size braids with your own natural hair and no added extensions, so that you can adequately moisturize your hair. Cornrows are low maintenance, hide damage and there are so many patterns that will allow you to get really creative.
